Most people living around the Achmelvich Beach area will tell you about how often people are swimming in the sea, but be warned: it can be cold!
Fishing
If you enjoy fishing, then you are in luck. There are frequent fishing trips that go out into the sea, and with a diverse range of fish, it is certainly worth doing at least once on your visit.

Nature in the Area
Aside from the things to do listed above, Achmelvich Beach is in a very special area. Being in the highlands region, it is home to some of the most beautiful nature in the entirety of the British Isles.
The mountains in the region are breathtaking. With most of them, you are able to walk along with many local hills being famous for their large peaking cliffs and their heights. Lookup: Quinag, Ben More, Cul Mor or Stac Pollaidh and see if it ‘peaks’ your interest!
Aside from the mountains, there is also another beach. A secret beach, secluded from others. Vestey’s Beach is only two minutes away from Achmelvich and is blessed with nature and stunning views. Please note: you might need to do some swimming to get there!
