This is in the Highlands region, which is better known for its vast expanses of hills and mountain ranges than its bustling population. The nearest city to Achmelvich is Inverness, which is about a two-hour drive away.
Achmelvich isn’t the quickest place in the world to get to, but once you’re lying on the beach or taking in the scenery from one of the cliffs surrounding it, you’ll know you made the right decision.
